Our group of freshmen and sophomores have made huge strides in their wrestling since the beginning of the season! Their hard work in practice has carried over to the mat and the future of Hagerty Wrestling is bright.

DATE CHANGE! Dual Meet v. Winter Park (Senior Night) moved to next Thursday

• Due to the continued success of our Boy’s Basketball Team (DISTRICT CHAMPS!), our school will be hosting a Regional play-off game Thursday night. Rather than having our seniors wrestle their last match of their career in the Auxiliary Gym, the match against Winter Park has been rescheduled to NEXT Thursday, February 19.

Friday (02.13.15): JV State Tournament (Osceola HS)

• Day 1 of the JV State Tournament. The following wrestlers will meet in the Wrestling Room after 7th period (12:32 PM) so that they can board the bus that will take them to Osceola.

Wed 02.18.15: Seminole Athletic Conference Tournament

Unlike years past, the 2015 conference tournament will be a “duals tournament” similar to the NCAA National Duals Tournament that will take place this Sunday, Feb. 15.

The East v. West format divides the county in half, with teams being seeded based on this season’s accomplishments and head to head match-ups:

3:30: Quarter Finals

• East: #1 Winter Springs v. #4 Lake Howell
• East: #2 Hagerty v. #3 Oviedo
• West: #1 Lyman v. #4 Lake Brantley
• West: #2 Lake Mary v. #3 Seminole

5:00: Semi Finals/Consolation Round 1

• Winner of WS/LH v. winner of HHS/OVI

6:30: Championship & Consolation Finals

Thursday (02.19.15): Dual Meet v. Winter Park (Senior Night)

• We will be recognizing our seniors and their familes before our match against Winter Park: Zach Larison, Matt Ellis, Danny Angel, Gus Hussein, Josh Lopez, and Will Searcy. Please make plans to be there as these wrestlers compete in their last ever home dual meet. Senior recognition will start at 6:30 PM.

Saturday (02.21.15): AAU Duals Tournament at Osceola

• Our club team, NVRSTOP Wrestling Club will head to Osceola to compete in the AAU Duals State Tournament.
